Of Counsel is a designation for lawyers who no longer practice regularly, but are still affiliated with the law firm. These are the former Partners at Andrews, Bongar, Gormley & Clagett who built us up over 54 years into what we are today.
George E. Andrews
The founding partner of Andrews, Bongar, Gormley & Clagett is now Of Counsel and is enjoying his well-deserved retirement. George has been a fixture in Charles County circles since the 1960s. He is universally known as a kind, warm-hearted, giving man. George set the tone for our firm in the beginning and we have tried to maintain his spirit of generosity and friendliness in everything we do.

After years of building a general practice, and running a successful personal injury practice, he took over the real estate department.
Chuck taught real estate courses at the University of Maryland and Charles County Community College. He is former General Counsel for the Southern Maryland Board of Realtors. He is also a Director of Old Line National Bank.

He further expanded the practice by adding criminal law to our portfolio.
