At Andrews, Bongar, Gormley & Clagett, we work as a team. When you retain us, you get more than just a single attorney working on your case. You also get the friendly & helpful services of our amazing staff!
Our staff promises to give you the best customer service. We train our team of paralegals and legal assistants to make your case run as smoothly as possible. These are the people who will usually solve your day to day challenges, while the attorney is focusing on your case.
Here is our staff in alphabetical order.
Amanda started with us fresh out of paralegal school, and boy are we glad we hired her then! She handles personal injury and workers’ compensation cases, as well as litigation support. Amanda actually lives out of state and works remotely. She worked here several years while her husband was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base. When he got his PCS orders to Oklahoma, we thought it was goodbye. But, we decided to use technology to keep her with us, and it has paid off wonderfully! The only downside is that we don’t get to experience her pleasant personality live and in person every day.
Ashley is our litigation support paralegal. She works for the personal injury, workers’ compensation, family law, and civil litigation departments. Ashley grew up in La Plata, and still lives there. She has worked for other local law firms in the past.
You may recognize Ashley if you have ever been to Ledo’s Pizza in La Plata, where she is a manager and long time employee.
Christy is our bookkeeper. This is actually her second stint with us. She was our bookkeeper several years ago. Just when she thought she was out, we pulled her back in!
Christy has lived in Charles County all of her life and raised her family here. When Christy isn’t keeping our finances straight, she is teaching spin class at a local gym.
Jasmine assists Melissa and Ryan with civil litigation and collection efforts, and assists Louise with bankruptcy matters. Jasmine joined our firm in the fall of 2015 after spending nearly ten years in customer service. She graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing. She still writes, and plans to become a published author.
Initially, Jasmine was our back-up receptionist. Over time, her duties expanded. Jasmine currently lives in Waldorf.
Louise has been with the firm for a little over 11 years. She handles bankruptcy administration and estates for Dave Gormley. She has 20+ years of experience in the field of bankruptcy law. She has about half that time in the field of estate administration.
Prior to joining the firm, she served 9 years as the lead paralegal for a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee in Maryland.
Melissa is our paralegal for HOA management, civil litigation, and criminal law. She earned her degree in Paralegal Studies from National Paralegal College. She works on civil litigation matters, criminal law matters, and the collection efforts within the office.
Melissa is originally from northeastern Ohio and is a big Cleveland Cavaliers fan.
Vicki is the Licensed Settlement Agent who handles our real estate settlements. She has been in the title/mortgage industry for more than 20 years and brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her department.
She truly enjoys her role in the home buying process and appreciates that she is able to take a small part in assisting with such an important part of the lives of her clients.
When she’s not handling settlements, Vicki is participating in community charity events, raising a young son and supporting her family in all of their many endeavors.
Vicki has lived in the local area for the majority of her life and is a 1993 graduate of the University of MD College Park.
